Simulation can help to directly analyse the robustness, function or even the thermal behaviour of the individual parts and the overall construction when designing a product. This ensures that the product meets the requirements. While simulations used to be carried out mostly on the finished design, more and more tools enable simulation directly in the design process. It is no longer specialists who carry out the simulations, but the designers themselves – which in turn requires completely new tools and operating concepts.
